About Hafiza
Your certified female Quran teacher for women and children
Welcome to Learn Quran with Hafiza. My name is Hafiza Hadia, and I am a certified Hafiz-e-Quran with eight years of teaching experience.
My Credentials
My certification comes from Wifaq ul Madaris Al Arabia Pakistan, a well established Islamic examination board that sets a national standard for Quran and Islamic studies education. I also hold a BS in Chemistry and a B.Ed in Education, and I have spent that time learning not just the Quran but how to actually teach it to a nervous six year old or a busy working mother squeezing in a class after her kids go to bed.
I also hold an Ijazah (a formal sanad, or chain of authorization) in Quran recitation, meaning my own recitation was checked and approved by a qualified teacher before I was authorized to teach others, in the same tradition of verified transmission that Quran recitation has always followed.
Over these eight years, I have taught more than 50 students, children and women alike, one to one.
Why a Female Teacher Matters
I only teach women and children. No male teachers, no large call center, just one female teacher your family can trust. If a teacher ever asks you for personal information that a female student or a child’s parent would not be comfortable sharing with a male teacher, that is a warning sign, and you should stop the class immediately.
How I Teach
I teach in both English and Urdu, so whether your family speaks mostly English at home or you want your child to hear Islamic terms explained in Urdu too, I can meet you there. Classes run one to one on Zoom or Google Meet, and every new student gets two free trial classes before any payment is made.
